How We Worship

It is as we offer thanks and praise that we often directly sense the presence of God. And quite simply, that is the goal of our worship service, "To enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise" Psalm 100:4.

There are many methods of praising God described in the Bible including singing, raising hands, shouting, clapping, dancing and kneeling. During any given service we may use many or all of these methods, with the goal to worship God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength.

Singing: "Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises." Psalm 47:6

Uplifted Hands: "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord." Psalm 134:2

Shouts of Joy: "Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you."  Isaiah 12:6

Dancing: "Praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute." Psalm 150:4

Clapping: "Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy." Psalm 47:1

Bowing or Kneeling: "Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;" Psalm 95:6

At LWCF we don't have a written order of service, however, services usually consist of:

  • Corporate worship
  • Offering
  • Dismissing children to go to their classes
  • Teaching from the Bible
  • Conclusion of service with worship and a time of prayer and ministry
